Sikaflex-292 White Polyurethane Adhesive - 10oz Tube

Sikaflex-292 - White Polyurethane Adhesive - 10oz Tube

Sikaflex-292 is a versatile, non-sag 1-component polyurethane adhesive that cures through exposure to atmospheric moisture. With excellent adhesive properties and strong mechanical performance, it is ideal for a variety of applications.

Features:

Excellent gap-filling capabilities

Can be painted once cured

Adheres well to multiple substrates including metals, ceramics, and plastics

Meets Wheelmark certification standards

Low VOC and solvent-free formulation

Applications:

Perfect for structural joints in marine constructions, Sikaflex-292 bonds effectively with materials such as aluminum (including anodized finishes), metal coatings, ceramic materials, and various plastics like GRP and ABS. It is recommended for professional users, and pre-testing on original substrates is advised for compatibility.

Surface Preparation:

All surfaces must be cleaned, dried, and free of grease or dust. Specific surface treatments may be necessary based on the substrates, which are critical for achieving a durable bond.

Application Conditions:

Best applied at temperatures between 10 °C and 40 °C, with ideal conditions being 15 °C to 25 °C to ensure optimal performance. Adhesive viscosity may increase at lower temperatures; therefore, conditioning at room temperature prior to application is recommended.

Tooling & Finishing:

Tooling and finishing should be done within the skin time of the sealant, utilizing Sika Tooling Agent N for best results. Other agents should be tested for compatibility.

Cleanup:

Uncured adhesive can be cleaned from tools using Sika Remover-208. Once cured, mechanical methods are required for removal. To cleanse skin, wash immediately with Sika Cleaner-350H or suitable hand cleaner and water; avoid solvents.

Important: The domestically produced Sikaflex-292 is not IMO certified.
